This year don’t let anything stifle your Valentines plans. Get creative and adventurous – use these ideas as a starting point, but the possibilities really are endless. Shower your better half with all the love and affection they deserve this year.

1) DIY Workshop:

A fun and creative way to spend quality time with your significant other or bestie is to complete a DIY workshop together. The best DIY workshop we have found is The Rustic Brush. At The Rustic Brush, a talented instruction will walk you through how to sand, stain, assemble (with power tools on certain projects) and paint a masterpiece. Not only do you get to spend quality time together, but you also have a memento you can take with you in memory of the occasion. (Oh, and you can bring wine and snacks.)

2) Go Dancing:

Hear us out; not at the club—we mean real dancing. Take a dance class, go see some live music that makes you want to boogie, or push the furniture out of the way in the living room so you have enough room to get your groove thing on right at home. Just Dance!

3) Wine Tour:

Instead of sticking to just one spot, hop from place-to-place and order different kinds of wine and snacks along the way. A quick google search will help you find a tour company just like this wine tour in West Texas or this New Orleans cocktail tour for an easy and fun getaway.

4) Private Tour:

Think of all the places that make you – you. Then, wander through town, tell stories about those places, or recreate a favorite activity.  This is such a great way to get to know each deeper and share some laughs along the way.

5) Themed Dinner and a Movie:

Watching Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman’s whirlwind romance in Casablanca is perfectly paired with these Moroccan turkey meatballs. “Here’s looking at you, kid” and that awesome Valentine’s Day date.

6) Shopping:

There is a reason that Serendipity scene is so iconic. If shopping doesn’t sound like the perfect Valentine’s Day date, make it a challenge. You and your significant other go to the store and split up with the same list: buy something your significant other needs, something they want, buy something in their favorite color, their favorite drink, and buy their favorite snack. Then go home and surprise each other with your haul.

7) An Escape Room:

Most people have heard of an escape room and maybe even been to one in a group, but how about trying to escape as a couple. You can find easy rooms or more complex rooms (if you’re into that kind of thing), but either way, a great escape is the way to spice up any date night.

8) Karaoke:

Head to your nearest dive karaoke bar or piano bar and sing your hearts out. Can you think of a better way to celebrate your chemistry than singing classic duets such as “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” and “Endless Love”? We couldn’t either.

9) Mixology class:

Learn together how to be the coolest hosts with custom crafted cocktails. These online Mixology classes are a fun, creative, and inexpensive date night idea to “mix” up your date night routine.

10) Relationship Scrapbook:

Even those who aren’t into crafts will have such a great time with this fun date night idea. Gather up photos of your relationship, ticket stubs, and wrist bands, and make a beautiful collection of memories together.

Whatever you do, just get out, get creative, and have a romantic Valentine’s Day adventure.
