All you need is three simple pieces. Decorating your front porch can make a huge impact with just 3 simple pieces – a wreath, a doormat, and a tall sign. Find different colors and textures that you love and create your own beautiful pieces to bring your spring vision to life. – Taci Wilkins, The Rustic Brush
Spring signals a fresh start. Longer days, more sunlight, and warmer weather mean it’s time to lighten up! Replace heavy fabrics and dark colors with airy cottons and linens, and a fresh coat of paint in a lighter palette will add to the happiness that springtime brings. Gather up bundles of fresh cut flowers to sprinkle the scents of spring throughout your space. You can make a lot of impact for minimal cost with bunches of flowers from the grocery store. For greatest effect, stick to one color and keep the arrangements loose and informal. We love daffodils and tulips in pitchers and jars. Keep it light and breezy. – Peg Kusner, Peg Kusner Design
Faux plants and string lights are an easy place to start. If you live in an area with variable spring temperatures I am a big fan of using faux plants outside when the weather doesn’t allow for reliable flowering (or if you just don’t have a green thumb). I also incorporated solar string lights – which allow folks without outdoor power outlets to enjoy the ambiance of string lights outside. – Rachel Moore, Pinteresting Plans
Spruce up your mantle this spring with some bright yellow silk marigolds. The bright yellow will add a nice pop of color, and be a nice addition to the traditional pastel decor. The best part is, the bright marigold color can double as summer decor if you forget to take down the Spring decorations after April. – Jessica Weisenhorn, Concinnity Crafts
A crochet or macrame wall-hanging is the perfect way to fill empty wall space and add some visual interest to your spring decor. When decorating for the spring season, opt for natural or seasonal colors. Plus you can add some natural elements like a rustic stick to hang your piece from for even more texture in your space. It’s called “Ocean’s Breath Wall Hanging” and this crochet pattern is free on my blog. – Kelsie Weeks, Crafting for Weeks
Decorate your space with a DIY craft. My favorite way to incorporate spring decor in my home is with my DIY pom-pom bunny craft. It’s a fast and easy DIY that is full of texture and cuteness. Bonus points that it’s neutral, so it will look great with any decor style. – Nicole Carpenter, Birkley Lane Interiors
Color brings the decor together. I’m a big fan of getting creative by making something beautiful for your home, so I suggest creating a few pieces of seasonal home decor that have a specific theme. Color is an easy way to tie a few projects together. Using a unique color palette, for example white and green, for your spring decor will connect your projects and make them stand out as the cheerful pop of spring decor that you’ve added to your home.- Maria, ArtsyCupcake
Give your kitchen a touch of spring. Last spring was a dud so this year we are making the most of it with a spring-forward kitchen update. Bring in golden hues, natural materials like reclaimed wood, and a fresh coat of paint to put a springtime bounce into the heart of your home. A fresh color pop on the cabinets, a refresh on the countertop surface, a new nature inspired feature wall along with all new hardware will bring spring into focus for many seasons to come. – Jaime Lyn Pirozzi Creative/Owner, nluv Studio
Reuse your favorite vases. If you are feeling overwhelmed with the expense of buying new decor for every season, try keeping the same vases all year round in your home but switch out your greenery or faux florals with the season. I love using neutral vases in my home and then adding bright colored florals to freshen up my home for spring time. – Emily Fritsch, Lilies and Life
Incorporate a color block table runner. This color block crochet table runner is approximately 9 inches X 40 inches complete. However, if you choose to change the pattern for a size you desire, the length can be adjusted by using multiples of 2. Of course, rows can be added too. Vicky Pietz, Pattern Princess
Upcycle decor with ease. Use simple items you find around the house or at the dollar store to create wonderful indoor decor for virtually free. Upcycle a watering can, or make a small wreath. – Sandy Sandler creator of the Bowdabra®
Bring spring into your home in small ways. An easy way to bring some spring freshness into your home is to create small groupings or vignettes that incorporate aspects of spring- flowers and greenery (real or faux), small figurines like birds, candles with a spring scent. You can place your vignette on a kitchen island, a coffee table, or your fireplace mantel. – Niky Lynn, The House on Silverado
Embrace spring with new wallpaper. Spring is all about nature blossoming back to life, so what could be more spring like than a botanical wallpaper? Botanical wallpaper celebrates the beauty of plants and will bring new energy to any space. Choose from a soft pastel background shade or a bolder tone for a more modern effect. – Mineheart
Decorative pillows can instantly bring spring into your home. The easiest way to incorporate seasonal décor into your home is to update your decorative pillows. Whether you make them or buy them, new pillow covers give your home a fresh look in an instant. Also, use your existing pillows instead of buying new pillow inserts to save valuable storage space and money. – Jennifer Maranga, Chain 8 Designs
Wool doesn’t have to be only for wintertime. Most people think of chunky merino wool only for bulky winter accessories. But I like to use it for pops of color and decor for spring. Check out this fun placemat or bar stool pad free pattern. – Michele, Stitch & Hustle
